Placebo

Placebo é uma banda formada em 1994 em Londres, Inglaterra. Seus integrantes são o belga Brian Molko (vocalista, guitarrista e tecladista) e o sueco, Stefan Olsdal (baixista, guitarrista e tecladista) e o californiano Steve Forrest(baterista). Devido a diferentes origens (Bélgica, Suécia, Luxemburgo, Inglaterra e Suíça) dos integrantes que formam/formaram o Placebo, este é considerado como uma banda Europeia.

Without You I'm Nothing é o segundo álbum de estúdio da banda Placebo, lançado a 10 de Outubro de 1998. Nesse album, entra uma atmosfera mais gótica e punk que seu antecessor. Canções como "Pure Morning", "Every You, Every Me", "You Don´t Care About Us" e "Without You I´m Nothing" viraram hits que não paravam de tocar nas rádios. Na versão Single, "Without You I´m Nothing" tem a participação de David Bowie, já que, ele mesmo disse que gosta muito dessa música e pediu para a banda se ele poderia gravar com eles.

BATTLE FOR THE SUN [ 08.06.2009]

Battle For The Sun é o sexto álbum de estúdio da banda Placebo, lançado dia 8 de Junho de 2009. É o primeiro álbum da banda a contar com o novo baterista, Steve Forrest.
A princípio, o álbum é mais pesado que os anteriores, deixando a banda num plano mais "Heavy", mas sem tirar as distorções. O efeito eletrônico foi diminuído e entram mais as guitarras. Lembra um pouco as raizes do primeiro álbum e sua postura ficou mais madura. Brian Molko explica sobre o album: "Isto não é Hard-Rock e nem Pop-Rock, é provavelmente um Hard-Pop".
